Waterfront Civic and Cultural Space Planning Study
Three years ago, we produced a report for the Mayor’s Office of Arts and Culture with recommendations on how to improve and sustain the cultural tenanting process along the waterfront. Now, we’re breaking down how our recommendations have since been implemented and what key progress points are still missing.

2025 CNU Award
“Catalyzing neighborhood change through art, public space, and activity.” Our work with Zone 3 Western Ave has won a Charter for New Urbanism Award in the Block, Street, and Building category. What was once a concrete corridor for cars is now a vibrant, community-oriented, creative hub. This project, ignited by Harvard and their investment in the neighborhood in 2015, has since sparked interest from a range of other entities including housing, life sciences, and retail and public spaces.
