We’ve got a new set of ten limited edition Art in Print posters that will be available to collect for only a quarter in our special newspaper bins along Western Ave! Art in Print is an initiative of Zone 3 launched in October 2018 designed to reimagine ways to present public art while making art buying more accessible to the general public. We’ve now included 60+ incredibly talented local artists over the span of six volumes. And as an added bonus, we’ve also been asking those 60 artists what their favorite karaoke jams are… and are finally ready to release this bop of a playlist to the world!
A little more about the initiative: Ten local artists are commissioned for each volume to create limited-edition newsprint posters available for purchase for 25 cents, ranging from paintings and photography to digital art and collage. Only 60 copies of each poster are printed per volume, so once they fly off the shelves, they’re gone. We know you’ll love this August batch! If you plan to pick up a print (see map), please be sure to sanitize before and after touching the bin. Our first priority is keeping our community healthy.

We also refreshed these vacant storefront windows with some info about the Art in Print program!
While you’re out and about in the neighborhood, make sure to also check out the newly installed portraits from past volumes of Art in Print at the old 7 Eleven space by the corner of Western Ave and North Harvard Street! Featured prints (in photo above, left to right) by Sharif Muhammad, Uzo Ngwu, Sophie Calhoun, Mithsuca Berry, Noah Grigni, Nina Bhattacharya, Sagie Vangelina, Rocky Cotard, Madison Arrichiello, and Ambrojah Williams.
And as always, if you’re interested in getting involved with this initiative, fill out our artist form to be considered for a future volume!
