As a part of our “Make it Happen Residency” in 2022, we created a super limited run of playful apparel sold in our new Mentorshop, to raise awareness of the program and to directly support this project grant for our inaugural round. We believe we can do better creative work and make stronger commitments to equity and public benefit. We are making a pledge through our Mentorshop and the Make it Happen Residency.

This sweatshirt is a promise. By wearing this sweatshirt, I vow to not use dumb phrases to market my project or create a meaningless sexy brand or write a new name for the neighborhood that everyone hates. I vow to never utter the words “Live, Work, Play” ever again (and no, “Shop, Dine, Stay” is not ok either). I will not rip off the Talking Heads “This Must be the Place” ever again. By wearing (or gifting) this sweatshirt I commit to creating something original that contributes to my neighborhood and community in positive ways.
Design: The front of this design has a small chest imprint that says “Apartments Designed For Living”, while the back features an assortment of phrases. Each sweatshirt was designed by Isenberg Projects and printed in Boston by AntiDesigns. The sale of each shirt represents 1/55th of a $2500 micro grant for the Make it Happen Residency.

Made using pill-resistant air jet yarn, double-needle stitching throughout, and set-in sleeves, the Gildan G180 is a casual classic that offers comfort and durability that’ll withstand the everyday wear-and-tear of life.
